DVLA (formerly DVLC) Offices
Here is a list of all the DVLA (Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency - formerly DVLC) local offices who offer the DVLA number plates transfer service. The main DVLA website can be found at www.dvla.gov.uk.
As part of the transfer process your vehicle documents (photo-copy of VED (tax disc), V5C, (log book), and if appropriate the MOT certificate will need to be taken or posted to your nearest DVLA/DVLC office.
The DVLA/DVLC local office will then issue you with a new VED (tax disc) which will have the same expiry date as the current one but will have your new personalised registration number on it. They will stamp the MOT certificate "now registered as...." and similarly stamp the 'New Keeper' section of the V5C, (log book).
The 'Certificate of Entitlement' supplied by EA51REG is a genuine DVLA issued certificate and will need to go with the documents mentioned above to your local DVLA office to complete the transfer. The certificates are all marked "assignment fee paid" which relates to the £80 DVLA assignment fee which covers the cost to the DVLA of issuing the VED (tax disc) and changing the vehicle's V5C, (log book) to your new registration.
