Number Plates FAQs

Category 1

1. How long will it take for my new V750 certificate to arrive?

Most certificates for your new DVLA number plates are received by us in FIVE to SEVEN working days. We post them out the same day to you. It is then up to you to take all the necessary documents to your local DVLA office.

2. Are the registrations supplied on official DVLA certificates?

All the registration certificates supplied by EA51REG are DVLA issue V750 or V778s certificates.

3. What do I need to do to transfer the new registration to my vehicle?

You will need to wait until you receive your V750 or V778s certificate from us. Once you receive this you need to take this, along with your existing V5 Vehicle Registration Document, ('logbook'), MOT certificate if applicable and a photocopy of your VED, ('tax disc').

4. Do EA51REG provide the actual acrylic number plates?

Yes! you can choose from a range of number plate styles, with a choice of flags and borders all competitively priced with no extra delivery charges, and inclusive of VAT also on the buy now page. If you choose to buy the number plates from us you will be in possession of the number plates ahead of the completion of your transfer. This means that once we return your new Tax disc to you, along with your other documents, it can simply be placed in the car window, you can then attach your new plates and the transfer is complete. It couldn't be EA51ER!

5. What is the fully transferred price of my new DVPA private number plate?

Once you have selected a registration number simply click on the 'Buy Now' button, (on the right of the page), to see the price breakdown. This does not commit you to the purchase.

6. What if I make a mistake when providing my Nominee name?

When purchasing a registration plate from EA51REG, you must provide us with the name that appears on the V5 Vehicle Registration Document document, ('logbook') of the vehicle that you intend to assign the registration to. The DVLA requires that the nominee name matches EXACTLY with the entry in the V5 Vehicle Registration Document document, ('logbook'), book.

Remember that Mr. John Smith is different to John Smith or Mr. J Smith so type EXACTLY what you see on your V5 document ('Log Book').

In the event that you make an error regarding the 'Registered Keeper' details this will unfortunately incur a further £25 charge from the DVLA, and will delay the transfer by up to 21 days. We cannot be held responsible for any errors.
